“I have many years of experience in journalism – in print and online. I’ve written about technology, finance, travel, food and drink, and more, as well as interviewing high profile entrepreneurs and celebrities. At the RAC, I focus on the importance of car maintenance and servicing. I also cover insurance and driving in Europe, as well as investigative pieces on drink driving, speeding and potholes.”
During his free time, Barney loves golf and watching his favourite sports teams.

“My goal is to help drivers better understand car maintenance. That is why I write a lot of articles about the importance of servicing. Plus what happens if you don’t service your car on time. I also create travel content on all the great places to drive in the UK and Europe.”

Barney oversees the RAC’s news and SMR (service, maintenance and repair) content on RAC Drive. He covers all travel content, too. He also manages the monthly newsletter, which goes out to over a million subscribers.

During his five years at Business Leader, Barney oversaw the daily news. He interviewed high profile entrepreneurs and industry leaders. He also wrote features for its monthly print magazine.
