If you’re facing a legal problem and don’t know which way to turn, help is just a phone call away. It’s reassuring to know there’s free advice for RAC members whenever you need it, to help you decide what to do next.

Our team of expert advisors are here to provide free clear guidance, whatever your legal issue. From neighbour disputes to troubles with housing and property, we’ll let you know your rights, offer practical advice and talk you though options and next steps. We’ll even provide guidance if you have a problem at work. Plus, you can call us about as many different legal matters as you like.

All RAC members can call our free legal helpline for guidance on motoring matters. Like speeding fines and parking tickets. But we can help with all sorts of other personal legal issues too. Like property, employment, family and wills.

For clear expert advice you can trust, there’s no need to register or book an appointment to access our free legal helpline. As long as you’re an RAC member, it’s included in your membership. And unlike a legal firm, you’re not ‘on the clock’ and the legal advice won’t cost you a penny.

2. Let us know your legal issue

You can talk to us in confidence. We’ll provide free advice on any private legal issue.

3. Get step-by-step guidance

We’ll talk you through your options and give you practical advice on what to do next. And if you wish to take matters further, we can refer you to a specialist solicitor.

As long as you’re an RAC member, there’s no limit to the number of times you can call us. You can call us about multiple issues, even if you’re just looking for reassurance.

We can’t guarantee that you’ll always talk to the same legal advisor. But we won’t ask you for the full story every time – we’ll just ask for an update on where you’ve got to, and we’ll take it from there.

No. Access to the free legal helpline is automatically included with your RAC membership, at no extra cost. As long as you’re a member, you can call us any time.

Legal advice is available to anyone who is an RAC Member and listed on the policy schedule.

We’re unable to actually draft letters for you. But our expert legal advisors will be happy to advise you on the information you need to draft letters.

No, we can’t represent you. However we may be able to refer you to one of our preferred solicitors if you need help and support with your court case.
