Due to the government's coronavirus travel restrictions, the earliest start date for new single trip policies will be the 17th May 2021 onwards. For customers purchasing an annual multi trip policy, there is no cover for travel prior to the 17th May 2021 unless non-essential International travel is permitted before this date.

Please check the latest Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advice before travelling. Our Travel Insurance policies do not cover travel undertaken to an area where the FCDO advise against all or all but essential travel. Our policy coverages have changed since the COVID-19 outbreak, please always check your policy schedule and terms and conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What type of sports equipment do you cover?

We cover a wide range of winter sports including skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and snow shoe walking, and you’ll be covered for damage or loss of equipment whether it’s yours or it’s hired – up to a total of £1,000 for your own equipment or a total of £300 for hired equipment, on our Black cover level.

In the event you need to hire replacement equipment, your cover will include that too.

Q. What if the piste is closed or I can't use my ski pass?

If the piste is closed due to too little or too much snow, or due to avalanche, we’ll cover your travel to an alternative site - up to £50 per day on our Black cover level.

If you miss lessons, or cannot use your pass or hired equipment due to injury or illness, we can cover your losses – up to a total of £400 on our Black cover level.

Q. What about accommodation?

If your accommodation is uninhabitable due to avalanche or landslide, we’ll provide cover for you to relocate to similar accommodation. On our Black cover level, this is up to £500.

Q. What if my trip is cancelled or delayed?

We’ll also cover you if your trip is cancelled or curtailed – on our Black cover level this amount is up to £7,500. There is also benefit if your trip is delayed or if you miss your departure.

^ You must have a standalone RAC Breakdown policy or RAC Car Insurance policy and provide your membership or policy number at the time of purchase to qualify for the 10% discount. RAC Travel Insurance must be purchased directly from us and this discount is not available on price comparison websites. The discount will not apply to premiums for pre-existing medical conditions or extended gadget cover.  The offer can be withdrawn or amended at any time.
