Rescuemycar breakdown cover vs RAC

When choosing car breakdown cover, it can be tempting to simply go for the cheapest deal on offer - but that’s not the only factor to consider. You should give serious thought to the quality of breakdown cover you’ll be paying for, exactly what it covers you for, and how reliable your chosen provider is.

The RAC is the UK’s longest-serving breakdown provider. We’ve been looking after the nation’s drivers for over 120 years, coming to their rescue when they need recovery. But, we know we’re not the only option out there. How do we compare to another company, Rescuemycar?

Brand and Reliability

The quality of the brand, its reliability in terms of performance, and response time of its patrols, are all crucial factors when it comes to assessing the best breakdown cover - again, it’s not just down to cost.

The RAC is an established brand, having been in operation for over 120 years. We’re proud that we’re the UK’s oldest breakdown cover provider, and equally proud that 4 out of 5 customers who experienced a breakdown would recommend our service to family and friends.

We’re pretty pleased with the performance of our RAC patrols, too - on average, they fix four out of five cars at the roadside within 30 minutes, so you’ll quickly be on the road again and on your way.

Our Advanced and Ultimate cover levels have both been awarded 5 stars by Defaqto
