You will need to buy a separate Dayinsure policy for each car you wish to test drive.

If I want to test drive the same vehicle the following day, will my policy cover me?

Our minimum policy length is 1 hour. So if the second test drive falls within 1 hour of the policy inception you would still be covered. Outside of this you would need to purchase a second policy.

Will my policy appear on the Motor Insurance Database (MID)?

Yes, but not immediately. We update the MID shortly after midnight every day. We update the Motor Insurance Database (MID) 4 times a day, so you’re unlikely to be stopped by the police on suspicion of driving without insurance.
