Weather in Alicante in April

April highs 16C

Traditionally known for its old fishing port, Alicante in Spain has looked to distance itself from the more 'uncouth' attractions of the Costa Blanca. In fact it has now transformed itself into one of Spain’s most welcoming cities, where people can relax to good food and drink.

For those looking for something a bit more active, the Marjal Costa Blanca Resort has mobile homes that can house up to six people and a large outdoor pool with slides and waterfall. The eco campsite also has a heated indoor pool, with a spa, fitness area, and tennis and basketball courts to boot.

Weather in Seville in April

April highs 18C

If you’re looking for a warm holiday in April then look no further than Seville, Spain. This historic Andalusian city is the home of flamenco and tapas, as well as some of the most stunning Moorish architecture.

Thanks to its warmer temperatures, visitors can enjoy an evening stroll along Calle Betis in Triana, which can be found between the San Telmo and Isabella II bridges. This time of year the city’s bars and cafés spring into life and it is well worth stopping for some fried baby squid (puntillitas) and an ice cold beer by the Isabella Bridge, with its stunning view of the cathedral.

Weather in Algarve in April

April highs 16C

The Algarve provides some of the best hotels, restaurants and attractions Portugal has to offer. Despite the modernity, once off the beaten track you will also find a lifestyle unchanged for many years, with olives, oranges and almonds still being picked and sold in the local markets.

In the villages you’ll find cobbled streets, whitewashed houses and cafes, with men drinking their espresso and women grilling sardines. From the untouched inland hills of Monchique to the coast, in Salema, where the fisherman still sit mending their nets, you’ll find there’s much more to the Algarve than pubs and clubs.

Weather in Sorrento in April

April highs 13C

All the classic Italian cultural clichés can be found in the beautiful seaside town of Sorrento, located in the rocky peninsula that forms the Bay of Naples.

As well as its scenic bay-within-the-bay setting, Sorrento’s Renaissance palazzi and Romanesque churches give the town an added historical depth. If that’s not enough, the beautiful the Amalfi Coast is just round the corner and the elegant resort island of Capri is just a 20-minute ferry ride away.
