Here’s how the RAC can help
If you've been in a collision with another vehicle, no matter how serious, we can help. There's no need to call your insurer first, just leave it to us.
1. If your vehicle can’t be driven...
Give us a call and we can recover your vehicle and take you and your passengers to a safe place. We’ll claim back any costs from the at-fault party’s insurer.*
2. We’ll sort a replacement vehicle and repairs
We can organise a hire vehicle, usually same day, so you can stay mobile. Plus, we can arrange to get your vehicle repaired at an RAC Approved Garage†, where repairs are covered by a 12-month/12,000 mile warranty.
3. We’ll help you claim your money back
We can advise on how to recover your insurance excess, and how to claim for other out-of-pocket expenses, such as travel costs and loss of earnings.
4. If you’ve been injured
Get full legal support from our specialist solicitors, if you or any passengers have been injured. We can make sure you receive fair compensation, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and advice throughout.
5. And if you need legal advice…
We offer free 24/7 advice and support to help you understand and deal with matters after the accident.
*The RAC will seek to recoup the cost of recovery from your insurer/3rd party insurer. You may be asked to pay if this isn’t possible.
†When you use the RAC Approved Garages. If the accident is not your fault, replacement vehicle charges will be recovered from the other party at Association of British Insurers (ABI) approved rates. Provision of a replacement car is subject to availability and satisfying the hire criteria of the replacement car provider's terms and conditions.
