Compare the Market Free Car Health Check terms and conditions

  1. The free car health check offer is valid for 12 months from your policy start date for new customers purchasing non-excess cover only.
  2. Excludes European single-trip cover.
  3. You will receive 1 free car health check or 2 with Family Cover to be used by any members of the family.
  4. Free Car health check is available on a limited time promotion to customers purchasing RAC Essentials UK breakdown cover through Compare the Market.
  5. This offer is fulfilled by a third party (Who Can Fix My Car) on the RAC’s behalf.
  6. You can only get your free car health check at participating RAC Approved Garages. You need to book through the Who Can Fix My Car platform using the link that will be sent to you via e-mail – find your nearest garage.
  7. Any memberships cancelled will result in the link not being sent and you being unable to redeem the offer.
  8. The car health check is for information only and does not include the cost of any repairs or services the garage recommends.
  9. The car health check is not confirmation that the vehicle is roadworthy, or that it meets all the legal requirements to be used on the highway.
  10. The car health check is not a full inspection. You shouldn’t use it to confirm the vehicle is in good condition before selling it.
  11. The car health check is not an MOT. You must always make sure your vehicle has a current MOT test certificate.
  12. Car health check findings are correct at the time of inspection. The RAC isn’t liable for any acts or omissions the garage and/or mechanic make during the car health check.
