The Right to Restrict Processing

This right refers to an individual’s right to restrict the processing of their personal data and is provided as an alternative to the Right to Erasure.

You may want to exercise this right if you object or dispute over the accuracy of your information and you don’t want us to take any further action until it is resolved, or if you need the information in relation to a legal matter but we would not ordinarily continue to store it.

: This right applies where:
  • You contest the accuracy of your personal information and we are verifying the accuracy of the data;
  • You believe your information has been unlawfully processed;
  • You need us to keep your information in order for you to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Where we are unable to complete your request, we will explain our reason for refusal along with your right to complain to the Information Commissioner (ICO).
