The slow drip-feed of eligible models continues after last month's announcement of the grant scheme, aimed at making it cheaper and easier to buy or lease an electric vehicle (EV).
The first six cars confirmed as eligible for the discounts were all Citroen models, but as of August 18th there are now 24 ECG-eligible EVs including cars from Cupra, Nissan, Renault, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. Check out the full list below.
All the models announced so far have received the lower discount of £1,500, but certain cars are expected to be eligible for the maximum £3,750 grant amount.
This depends on the scheme's sustainability standards, such as the emissions output of the countries where the cars are built. More models will be announced in due course.
The scheme is part of £650 million of funding aiming to make it cheaper and easier to buy or lease an electric car. It's available for eligible EVs that cost up to £37,000, supporting more affordable options.
Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander said of the scheme: "We're delivering on our promise to make it easier and cheaper for families to go electric.
"This is about backing drivers, putting money back into people's pockets and creating the jobs and growth that will drive Britain forward, delivering on our Plan for Change."

“Those looking to make the switch now have a wider choice of better value vehicles than ever before. This can only help speed up the transition to electric motoring."
