How do I get an IDP?

1. Download and print the IDP application form
2. Complete the IDP form
3. Include the following:
4. The correct fee (£5.50 for 1 IDP or £11 for 2, plus £2 processing fee per application)
5. Recent passport-size photo(s) signed on the back
6. A photocopy (not original) of your complete UK driving licence
7. A photocopy of the page from your passport with your photo and identification details

8. Send it to:

   RAC Motoring Services
   Travel Administration
   PO Box 1500
   Bristol
   BS99 2LH

We'll send your IDP first class, please allow up to 10 days.

Lost your original UK driving licence? Get in touch with the DVLA on 0870 240 0009. If they can't send you a replacement in time, you can ask them to release your driver information to us so we can issue your IDP.

Only got a provisional UK licence? You'll also need a valid certificate of competence to drive.

Need your IDP within 2 days? No problem, we just ask for an additional £4.95 for this service.
