RAC teams up with Egg to offer home EV chargers to drivers
The RAC has named clean energy company Egg as its newest electric vehicle (EV) charging partner, meaning it will now promote Egg’s home EV chargers to drivers as well as provide exclusive offers to RAC members.
Egg’s 7kW fast home EV chargers, available in both tethered and untethered versions, are now listed alongside options from the RAC’s existing charger partner and are available to purchase through an interest-free monthly payment plan or via an upfront payment.
RAC members purchasing an Egg home EV charger through RAC Rewards will also receive a £70 Amazon.co.uk gift card, with non-members purchasing through rac.co.uk entitled to a card to the value of £35.
Ross Mabon, Chief Commercial Officer at Egg, said: “It is a privilege for Egg to be working with the RAC, an iconic UK driving services brand and one that is a force behind the electrification of motoring.
“We feel confident that by working together, we will succeed in helping many more drivers enjoy the benefits that come from switching to electric vehicles and other connected clean energy solutions like solar and home battery storage.”

“What’s more, the flexibility to pay for an Egg charger in convenient monthly instalments, as an alternative to paying one upfront sum, is a valuable benefit to anyone ‘going electric’, especially during the current financial climate.”
