Following a busy winter working to protect motorists across the UK, the RAC patrol teams are back on our screens in the latest series of Channel 5’s Extreme Winter Road Rescue.
The documentary follows the RAC and emergency services as they battle through snow showers, freezing conditions and thick blankets of fog, putting it all on the line to help road users in difficulty.
This series, the breakdown recovery teams face some of the most dangerous incidents the show has seen yet, including a tanker sliding off the road near Northampton due to shockingly adverse weather conditions.
The crews are also tasked with rescuing a frightened family stranded in thick fog on a busy north west motorway.
The first episode – ‘The Big Freeze’ – will air on Monday 26th February at 8pm.
It stars Kal Singh, one of our Birmingham-based patrols, battling to keep local roads safe as temperatures plummet.
