hi. as a previous thread might indicate. I was unfortunate enough to suffer cambelt tensioner failure:(

i replaced belt and tensioner but seems valves are all bent. i have 3 questions i would like to ask you guys.

i do not want to buy new valves and have the head rebuilt as i cant afford that.

i can get a cylinder head complete at scrap yard for 130 pounds. how much might a garage charge to fit? as im not sure i can do the job properly.. and is this a good idea to just buy another head? ie would it fit and be reliable.

Are you sure, there is no damage to pistons? If I bought a head assembly from a wreckers, unless it was from a relatively low mileage donor I would want to overhaul it which would make me ask, what would a reconditioned head cost?
