Rust on NEW brake dicsc....Help Please

I have just changed the brake pads and discs on my VW Beetle, from a well known garage chain.

The discs have allot of rust on them and I can't understand why. My driving habits have not changed.

Could the rust be because the discs are of an inferior quality?

Or you probably did not look for it before. I used to call house to house, one way of assessing if someone was in was to look at the rust on the brake discs. No rust - car had been used today, rust spots - car had not moved since last rain, just rust colour - car was used day before and so on. The rust will be wiped off each time you use the car.

    As above.

Now-a-days all discs are mainly made from good quality steel forgings, this will rust with dampness if left. discs have been made with various amounts of other metals in to try to combat rusting, the problem then is that the brakes are not as good.
Park your car in the rain, a couple of hours later your discs will show signs of rust.
I had to park my car up for a month due to a knee problem, it took the best part of a weeks running before the discs showed nice and shinny all over again.
