As long as you know your stuff, and are a pleasant genuine person, then its a piece of cake. The interviews are to judge your character as well as your ability. To be a patrol you need very good communication skills.
good luck -
face to face
thanks for that hopefully i will do ok i do think i have good communication skills been doin same line of work as rac but for local company so used to dealing with the public -
Hello, just to extend on the question.
What shall I expect at the interview? What kind of assesments and tests do you have to carry out? Really dont know what to expect and would like a rough idea of the process. I have interview on friday and also bricking it, lol!
Thanks - Andy -
Mine was 7 years ago but I had a technical interview, to see what level yourknowledge is at, A personality interview to see what kind of person you are and if you are able to relate to different situations, Two logic tests, on paper, to see how you are at logical problems, And a role play situation to fix an easy fault on a car in a breakdown situation. This also involves dealing with a "member" who may be in distress or angry.
A driving test MAY be part of it, i don't know, but it was rumoured. it was quite nerve racking for me, but if you have a good head and can cope with it, then you are ideal for the job.
Again GOOD LUCK -
i had mine today not as bad as i was expecting i had a face to face interview 20 technical questions and a role playing exercise where you had to diagnose and repair the fault whilst keeping the customer happy think it went ok

Thanks for the replys!
Just out of intrest, how technical are the questions and are they face to face? remeber any examples? As for the role play what did u have to diagnose and repair? Im so worried, really want this job! hehe!
Cheers - Andy
