Last year i had an oil cooler fitted, had oil in water and on bypassing the cooler the water ran clear so all things pointed to this prob. After a flush thru bout 3 weeks later few oil spots showed again, so i flushed it myself and it seemed ok. Round bout october, i changed the anti freeze and the oil came back. I've since had a complete flush thru an oil back again Is this gonna be a head job???

The only way to know would be to get your garage to do a cylinder head gasket test or a cylinder leakage test-this will tell you whether the cylinder head gasket is leaking.
Why don't you try flushing the system again-I have used vanish tablets in the past to get rid of really persistant oil traces in a cooling system.
