What can I ask for? That price is for the x431,Super 16, 3 years upgrade, 2 year warranty and a Crecorder.

There were 3 manufacturers 'thrown in' as an extra. Kia, Jaguar and a.n.other. Check to see you are getting them for free too.

Yeah, they said Jaguar, Hyundai & Isuzu. The way they were originally advertised I thought they came with all software packages ?

The claim of 37 manufacturers is misleading. Group Audi/Skoda/Seat/VW as one. Group Alfa/Lancia/Fiat as one. Opel/Vauxhall are one. They also put OBD as one, Can OBD as one so you can see where its going.
Today did a Hyundai Trajet 2.7V6 and it read everything bang on, pinpointed the fault so it is good value for the money.

I remember now, VW's between 2000-2001 with a certain type of airbag controller. If you scan it the light stays on and you have to replace the control unit.

Don't even think about it!

I tried it on an Astra, seemed pretty good but, could not get it to do the central locking for some reason. It just stopped responding. Maybe I should use the Opel software ?

Yes, I never use the Vauxhall program. If no joy on that year try another year up or down a couple. Sometimes you get glitches when downloading over the net so as last resort go down that route. If you have the original CF card, worth buying a 1gb and downloading everything then keep original as a spare. Don't go bigger than 1gb or it will slow the tool down.

I will get another card, Is there any particular makes of cards that it likes or dislikes? will it be ok with the 'high speed' Sandisk offerings?

I'm sure it accepts just about anything. When you do go to the download centre, don't be tempted to do it in blocks. It is time consuming but I do each one individually and that helps eliminate glitches. Once you have done them all you only have to do the upgrades as they appear so its a one-off.
There is a helpful download video at Launch UK and Launch USA also do one.

Well, Got a spare card on order but, so far I can't register it so can't download the Updates, I'm surprised just how out of date the software on the machine is.

Why can't you register? Has the dealer code not been given to you? If not ring them and get it straight away. You should have got a security envelope with the machine number and a password. Open it and there are 2 long numbers. The first is the user name (machine serial number) and the second the password (8 digits). The dealer also has a code which you may need to activate it. You get that from whoever sold it to you.
I had these issues at the start. Once I got a new card, downloaded everything then it was okay. The dealers seem to load stuff then forget about it.

Got all that but, When I try to register it I get a message saying 'tool has not been sold'

When they sell the tool to you, they send a message to Launch Germany for them to register it. This does take a couple of days though. Did you buy it from Rotherham launch or elswhere? May be able to give you a number to speed things up.

I got it from BBA on Thursday. If it is not working by Thursday I will call them.

If no joy, phone this number 01752 344989. This is Launch Tech Uk, Plymouth, the original importer and who will sort Germany for you.
There are another 4 updates today so sooner the better to keep up to date.

Plymouth sorted the Reg problem instantly without any questions.

Then downloaded all the software a piece at a time, Put it on the card, Card in the machine, switch on and it is all in Chinese! Rang BBA and they told me how to navigate to the language settings. Just can't work out why it changed to Chinese :confused: I was careful to make sure I downloaded everything in English - Super 16 works now ! YAY!
