Hi Adrian, and welcome to the site, it looks like you will have to phone the number on the back of your unit and ask them for help to fix it. If you read through some of the other threads in here, you will see that you are not alone, but then again, you will also find some good information as well;)
    Cheers, Smudger.

I will say this again - please use a card reader/writer to transfer data between your PC and RAC sat nav.

Try using this driver (STEP ONE ONLY) at www.roadcom.co.uk. Select the RC400 driver download and then follow step one.
my father inlaw has an roadcom rc400 and the pc spftware is not on the sd card. and the roadcom.co.uk website no longer exists so please tell me where i can get the software to fix and update my sat nav please????

    looking for roadcom driver package

the roadcom site is no longer active and so I cannot access the drivers pointed to in this thread. if anyone has the drivers or knowledge were they might be aquired I would be hugely grateful since my RAC 215 is a brick following some stupid registry manipulation I did on it.

OK I know that this is an old thread but here's my ten pennyworth. I've been playing with computers since the days of the BBC Micro and the #1 problem is that people don't use ASCII code any more. Long experience suggests that only equipment made at the same time as the computer works - ridiculous I know but that's how it is with Windows. One famous printer manufacturer for example makes its printers obsolete and unusable by refusing to supply drivers for new operating systems. Recently I tried to pair and synchronise a Sony Navu NV-U93TW with a Windows 7 sixty four bit laptop. Basically it didn't work as the Navu displayed a message "Synchronising" but not much happened. The laptop knows that the Navu exists and "My Computer" shows that the Navu has both memory and expansion memory but the laptop cannot figure out the memory sizes. The other snag is that the laptop thinks the GPS is a phone! You couldn't make up such baloney but Windows will do it for you! I do have a Windows 98SE machine but it only has a CD drive not a DVD hence the Sony's software cannot be loaded. Manana!
