Second-Hand Peugeot 206
Used Peugeot 206
Available as a hatchback, coupe cabriolet and estate car, the Peugeot 206 is a supermini that’s incredibly popular in its class. Practical, sleek and family friendly, this car is a real pleasure to both drive and be a passenger in. The Peugeot 206 was first launched in the UK in 1998, though production ended in 2009. What this means, however, is that there’s plenty of great options out there on the used car market. All models and trims look good, drive well and have reasonable running costs.
What You Get
The used Peugeot 206 combines great build quality and superb handling to make it a good all-round supermini. Inside, the interior feels solid and long-lasting. There's not a lot of legroom in the back but the boot is pretty spacious for a car of this size. The second-hand Peugeot 206 looks pretty good on the outside, the only real gripes with its design are that the rear doors are pretty small and the low tailgate means that its top is visible in the interior mirror. Other than that though, this car boasts a pretty decent interior as well as exterior.
How it Drives
The slickness of changing gear and the excellent suspension are class-leading, and the handling is more than reasonable too. The drive isn't great fun, there is a little too much body roll and the power steering is overly light, but the traction is excellent. The GTI is the quickest option, and it does pack a pretty good punch. Steering is responsive across the board, so it makes a great car for both city driving and motorway cruising.
