Second-Hand Peugeot 106

Used Peugeot 106
The Peugeot 106 was first released in the UK in 1991 and the original range was made up of three-door hatchbacks only, with four choices of petrol engine. A diesel engine and five-door option came later. As Peugeot is often recognised for its reliability, this is a car you can count on and is very popular amongst a range of potential buyers. It’s agile, fun and more suitable for short distance driving. It is also inexpensive and even more so in the range of used Peugeot 106s for sale at RAC Cars.

What You Get
Our used Peugeot 106s are surprisingly spacious inside and are good fun to drive. Rear access in the three-door models is made simple thanks to the wide doors and easy-to-use catch which effortlessly flips the front seats forwards. The front seats fold and slide and will return to their original position automatically. Luggage space is good too and will easily handle your weekly shop.

How it Drives
The Peugeot 106 is generally an economical car with the entry-level petrol version giving almost 60 miles per gallon at a constant speed of 56mph and about 40 miles per gallon in urban areas. The 1.4 lire diesel model is even better giving just over 76 miles per gallon at a constant 56mph and 50 miles per gallon in town. At these rates, a tank of diesel should last around 750 miles. The 1.5 litre version gives diesel economy with a bit more poke, reaching sixty in just under 17 seconds on its way to a top speed of 90mph. Overall, the engines are reliable and even very early models are fuel-efficient.
