If I live in Guernsey but breakdown in the UK, will RAC cover all the costs to recover the vehicle back to Guernsey?

Best AnswerHi Lightchoices,
This would depend on the level cover you have with us.
I'd recommend taking a look at our National Recovery option, without this, you may be limited to a 10 mile tow. Thanks,

What should you do after a collision? 🤔 -
Guernsey is not in the UK, so it seems the answer to the OP's question is NO.
However, I guess he could get it recovered to whatever port is needed, and get it pushed onto the boat. -
The RAC breakdown T&C's (page 7) define the UK as "In this policy, UK means England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man."
I don't see any Channel Island exlusions on the National Recovery website, however Beelzebub is right, when exploring additional options such as National Recovery, please do confirm this at the point of sale.Last edited by Mark07; 16-04-24 at 10:10.
