Default how to renew provisional driving licence

    Hi,
After finally deciding it was time to learn to drive, I took a few lessons and eventually booked my practical test and was given a date in April.
However the problem is that my provisional licence expires in March.

Please could someone point me in the right direction of where to renew it.

    Many Thanks

Welcome to the site deeps1000, just phone the DVLA and explain the situation to them. I am sure they will be able to help you out, good luck with your test in April

And if you do, get it in writing. I wouldn't trust the DVLA to tell me what day of the week it was! The answer is probably on their website anyway.

Aye! and that 20 is just another rip off!!

It used to be that your license was for life, but since they started issuing out those plastic ones with the picture on, they realised that they could con us out of more money, by making us renew the photo every 10 years

    Apply online

You can renew your driving licence using DVLA’s secure online service, however, you won't be able to renew your C1 (medium size vehicles) and or D1 (minibus) entitlement. To renew these entitlements you can apply by post or use the premium checking service.
