    Default RAC HPI Check

Hi, Have just had an HPI check on a car I am interested in. It comes back as:

i Interest registered against a previous plate,
    and then:

    Plate Transfer

The current plate (******) was transferred to this vehicle on 06/09/2006
****** was applied to this vehicle on 18/01/2005
This VRM has been recorded as being written-off
The insurance write-off was recorded on 12/09/2008 against a VOLKSWAGEN GOLF GTI
******* was applied to this vehicle on 26/11/2001
There are no interests recorded against *******

I am confused - I get the idea that changing the plate might be to confuse the history, and I will check the car Vin number etc, but is the "interest recorded against another plate" the insurance claim when the Golf was written off, or are they saying that there is outstanding finance on either the Clio or the Golf?
