How to stay safe on a high speed road | RAC

We’ll tow your vehicle to a garage or destination of your choice. The distance we can take you depends on your cover level.

If a mobile mechanic can fix your problem, your patrol can arrange for them to repair your car at home or work, for an additional cost.

If your cover includes it, your patrol may offer you a taxi service or overnight accommodation.

You’ll be able to track your patrol’s journey in real time on a map and we’ll give you a more accurate arrival time.

Attempt to fix your vehicle at the roadside,  if we’re unable to help. Labour is free, however some parts such as car batteries may be chargeable.

We’ll give you a Rescue Report which includes advice and guidance for any permanent repairs your vehicle might need.

But sometimes we can’t fix your vehicle at the roadside. If that happens your patrol will offer you one of the following options:
