RAC Learner Driver Insurance is provided by DayInsure.com and underwritten by Aviva.

Q. Can I telephone for a quote or to purchase insurance?
RAC Learner Driver policies are only available to quote and purchase online.
Q. How much do RAC Learner Driver policies cost?
Prices depend on the make/model of vehicle, your address, policy duration and payment method. Please complete the application form for a quote.
Q. What level of cover is provided?
All insurance is fully comprehensive.
Q. How soon can cover commence?
15 minutes after purchase or later if required.
Q. How and when will I receive my documents?
Your documents, including the insurance certificate, are available to download and print instantly after payment and via the confirmation email we will send you after purchase.
Q. Who underwrites the policy?
RAC Learner Driver Insurance is provided by DayInsure.com and underwritten by Aviva.
Q. Can anybody supervise me?
Accompanying drivers must be between the age of 25-75 and have held a full UK driving licence for at least 3 years.  
Q. Can I drive a different vehicle?
Yes, but you will need to buy a separate RAC Learner Driver policy for each car you wish to drive.
Q. Is there any emergency cover between the hours of 10.00pm and 6.00am?
No cover is provided between those times, even for emergencies.
Q. Will my policy appear on the Motor Insurance Database (MID)?
Unlike our other products, RAC Learner Driver polices do not appear on the MID. For this reason, we advise that you carry a copy of the certificate with you at all times, in case it’s required. 
Q. Can I use a RAC Learner Driver policy to take my test?
Yes, if you’re taking your test in the car specified on the policy. But please remember cover ceases as soon as you pass your test.  You will need to make alternative insurance arrangements to drive the car back from the test centre.
Q. What happens when I pass my test?
When you pass your test all cover under this policy ceases immediately.
Q. What if I’ve paid for a few weeks I haven’t used – can I get a refund?
You have the right to cancel your policy at any time, for any reason. If you wish to cancel and the insurance cover has not yet commenced, you will be entitled to a full refund of the premium paid, including all fees and card charges.
Q. What if the policy has started – can I get a refund?
If you wish to cancel and cover has commenced, then providing you notify us within 14 days of commencement, you will be entitled to a refund of the unused premium. The refund value will be the difference between the price paid less the price for the number of days you have used. You will not be refunded fees or card charges.
