Default Wrong address on reg doc

I'm thinking of buying a 2nd hand car, but there's just one thing holding me back - the registration documents show a different address to where the seller lives. He doesn't seem very keen to get them changed, but says he will if it hasn't sold when the ad ends. I'm not sure if that's an issue or not - can anyone help ?

    Thank You

Does he have a reasonable explanation? If he moved but didn't inform the DVLA that is an offence. However - if the name matches, and he just moved or something, and you are confident that the car is actually his to sell (HPI check?), then go ahead. The fact of his address being different won't affect you.
