Drivers who want to be more eco-friendly have been given a guide to the top 100 green cars by Which?.
The group's experts compiled the environmentally-friendly vehicle list and found there has never been a better time to think green on cars.
Which? rated the Ford Focus as the best green car for a family of four and the Volkswagen Golf Plus best for a family of five or more.
The Mini was crowned the most fun green car to drive and the best value accolade went to the Ford Fiesta Econetic.
The Econetic was top choice for people looking to save cash as it is exempt from road tax and offers the lowest annual fuel bill for 10,000 miles, the consumer champion said.
The group broke down the best green cars by price category, suggesting that the three best for £10,000 were the Citroen C1, the Peugeot 107 and the Toyota Aygo.
For those with £25,000 or more to splash, Which? said an Audi A6 is the greenest choice.
The best cars for motorway economy were the Audi A3 1.9 TDie and Mini Clubman 1.6D Cooper and the best in town was the Toyota Prius.
