German manufacturer Porsche has released the final details of its new concept sports car, the 918 Spyder.
The firm, which specialises in luxury high performance vehicles, introduced the model at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.
Powered by a high-revving V8 petrol engine and twin electric motors, the limited edition car can provide a combined output of more than 700bhp.
The 918 Spyder comes with lithium-ion battery which can be charged from a normal power socket in about three hours.
The addition of the electric motors means that the vehicle will emit only 70g/km of CO2. Its hybrid technology enables the model to achieve fuel economy of 94mpg.
According to the company, the car offers 0-62mph in just 3.2 seconds and a top speed of more than 199mph.
The price of the 918 Spyder is set at 645,000 euro (£560,120) plus VAT, with deliveries likely to start in November 2013.
