Mercedes and Vauxhall owners are the most satisfied motorists according to a new customer survey.
The two manufacturers top the rankings based on feedback for various criteria; including fuel economy, build quality, comfort, practicality, performance and servicing costs.
Both firms scored an overall rating of 4.44 from a maximum five points.
Peugeot finished in second, just ahead of Volkswagen and Volvo - while Audi landed fifth spot. Ford was named in sixth place, Jaguar in seventh with Nissan and BMW rounding off the top 10 with a share of eighth.
Surprisingly, BMW was given the lowest average rating for build quality, despite being named as the brand that most other motorists aspire to own.
Jaguar was named the second most desirable manufacturer, closely followed by Audi, Mercedes and Volkswagen.
The survey by Parts Gateway asked drivers to rank their list of priorities in order when buying a car. Reliability finished top of the rankings, followed by comfort, style, fuel economy and practicality.
