British car manufacturer Jaguar has released the first look at its new XF Sportbrake, the latest estate version of its XF executive saloon.
The initial teaser for the new vehicle shows a slightly larger footprint on the road than the XF saloon and a 5mm increased length. The XF Sportbrake will be powered by the same engine as the executive saloon, with a choice between the 2.2 and 3.0-litre engines.
Incorporating the same chassis structure, the XF Sportbrake retains the existing model's strength and handling characteristics as well as utilising an eight-speed automatic gearbox and new panels behind the B-pillar.
The new vehicle has been confirmed as a rear-wheel drive and will feature a spacious 550-litre capacity boot which can be expanded to hold a maximum load of 1,675 litres when rear seats are folded. The stylish new vehicle is sure to run smoothly on the road but it's always wise to protect new purchases withcar insurance , which could save time and money should any unforeseen accidents occur.
No details regarding price have yet been released, although the XF Sportbrake is expected to arrive in dealerships around September 2012.
