Car dealer customer a happy tweeter

A Seat dealer in Essex has sold a car to a customer who lives almost 100 miles away almost completely through Twitter, after she expressed her disappointment on the social network at not finding the right deal.

Jemma Rowberry was contacted by Grants Seat in Braintree and got her the deal she wanted following an exchange of tweets, so she travelled to the showroom to sign the finance paperwork.

She picked up a brand new Leon SE Copa on her next visit, and sang the praises of the dealer.

Motorists can do with all the good fortune they get in these gloomy economic times, and a positive outcome like Jemma's is worth following up by seeking out the best possible car insurance deal.

She said it may be nearly 100 miles from her "but they made the whole thing so effortless for me from beginning to end and they'll definitely be the first people I contact when I'm in the market for another car."

Grants Seat managing director Darren Williams said the result proves the power of social media to motor industry sceptics.
