CAP releases Black Book Mobile

CAP has released a new mobile phone version of its Black Book to enable motorists to easily access information about used-car values.

Black Book Mobile can be accessed from iPhone, iTouch, iPad and Google Android phones without the need for internet access or a phone signal.

Users can instantly access the industry's benchmark trade values through the new application, which includes market commentary by CAP's Black Book team, retail valuations for used cars, Manufacturer, Model and Derivative selection menus as well as information about CAP ID and new prices.

Information on insurance groups will also be available to help drivers who are planning to take out new car insurance.

Along with the benefits of the standard printed Black Book, the new version also offers additional flexibility of valuations at more mileage points.

The comprehensive used-car valuation data will be automatically updated on the new application every month when the printed and online versions are released.
