Bond cars given licence to thrill

James Bond fans can get a closer look at the highlights of his gadget-filled car collection at a special London Film Museum exhibition.

Bond in Motion features some of the most iconic vehicles ever to be driven by 007, such as the submarine car Lotus Esprit driven by Roger Moore in The Spy Who Loved Me; the Rolls-Royce Phantom III from Goldfinger, driven by Sean Connery and the Aston Martin DB5 belonging to Pierce Brosnan in GoldenEye.

Also in show at the Covent Garden museum will be an array of props, models and action sequence boards from every single Bond movie.

The films, based on writer Ian Fleming's spy novels, continue to break box office records. The most recent, Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig, became the biggest earning UK film of all time, raking in £103 million.

The Sam Mendes-directed blockbuster, which explained much of Bond's past, earned more than a billion US dollars around the globe.
