I am currently doing my theory, however on the hazard perception i am scoring 0 on some clips when I have clearly registered the hazard and acknowledged this with a click. I imagine this is due to me not clicking within the scoring threshold. My question is how can I guarantee that I've got the computer to register my click? I understand that if I click repeatedly/ in a pattern this will cause issues but did any of you click in a certain way that would have the computer definitely acknowledge this? The problem is I see all the developing hazards and react to them accordingly but I'm concerned that I may click too early, and therefor score 0, would I incur some sort of penalty or lose points for clicking several times? Say half a second after the first click?

"You don’t lose points if you click and get it wrong. However, you won’t score anything if you click continuously or in a pattern." according to the DVSA website https://www.gov.uk/theory-test/hazard-perception-test
I'd suggest you use the official DVSA practice tests, which use the genuine test software. -
I failed my theory test quite a few times due to the questions but always got nearly full marks each time on the hazard perception.
I would always ensure that I click a few times across the hazard (at the start, during the hazard and at the end) this will always make sure that you dont rely on one click being perfectly timed.
Just make sure you dont click a million times within the space of a few seconds or click every two seconds or so as this is deemed to be a pattern.
I hope this helps. -
xD not sure what I was thinking there!
I guess i was supposed to say that I failed the multiple choice section of the test. -
Joey and Reece, my son recently passed his theory test and he had the same problem with "clicks" on two of them and scored 0 but 5s on others. To some point, it's the "click" thing that can cause issues. There seems to be a very fine defining line between early identifying of a potential hazard and when the people who set the test say it's too early to click! My son was using the official website and I tried the scenarios too - we both learned that being aware of potential hazards and clicking too early ditches your chances. The test videos should make the timing much plainer.

This is really good advice and it's basically what I did after failing my theory test 3 times too!

Hi guys, I'm looking for feedback for the following hazard perception resource: Hazard Perception Test. If anybody is interested in providing feedback of the website in exchange for a free membership, please get in touch. Thanks!
