Rubber buffer for suspension help
-
Morning all, my partner owns a ford ka 08 plate and the rubber buffer has worn away on the driver side rear and needs replacing (part looks similar to a kong toy for dogs) I have just order the new part but how would I go about getting access to the part and replacing it as the part its self doesn't fit through the springs.
Any help would be appreciated -

Is this bump stop inside the spring and the shock absorber outside of the spring? If so, you will need to unbolt the lower shock bolt to allow the wishbone to drop low enough to remove that spring and access the bump stop........

I think he means the rubber part that surrounds the shock absorber shaft. You have to remove the shocker completely, use spring compressors and dismantle the top part of the strut assembly to slide it on. Not a job for someone asking the question on here.
