Shogun Pinin Roadholding

Anyone own of have owned a Mitshubishi Shogun Pinin? What was/is the roadholding like?

I aks this question, because, driving home this am, on a wet road with light rain falling, the back end broke away when leaving a roundabout, fishtailing several times. this was not a particularly violent occurence, but mildly alarming none the less, as it was totally unexpected. Road speed aprox 25 mph, front tyres less than 3 months old, rear tyres have plenty of tread, and all are at correct pressure.
In dry conditions I have noticed nothing amiss, but this morning's event is very disconcerting.

Have any other owners experienced anything similar?

Thanks in advance for any comments

How cold was it, it sounds like black ice.

turned out to be a defective rear offside tyre, cracked on the outer wall. 2 new rear tyres cured the problem. it's not only the depth of tread that is important...
