New Toyota Auris

New Toyota Auris

The Auris is a smart hatchback that offers plenty of space and a great fuel economy

The front of the Toyota Auris is defined by narrow, sharp-looking headlights, and a small grille, as well as the Toyota insignia. The design is fairly simple, but works well, and suits the gives the Auris an understated sense of style. 2015 brought along a few updates, including additional chrome strips and new LED lamps. Inside, operating controls are easy, with switches and the touchscreen being easy to reach, whilst the driver’s seat and steering wheel offer plenty of adjustment. In general, the Auris has a roomy cabin, and the boot holds a good amount of luggage.

A mid-2015 update added a softer suspension and tighter steering to the Auris, whilst the manual gearbox provided as standard is swift and precise, with the sixth gear in particular being great for fuel economy and cruising. The light controls also make the Auris handle fairly well with a decent amount of grip. All engines on offer (two petrol, a diesel and a hybrid) have no trouble getting the Auris around, even if they’re not particularly quick, although the hybrid is good in spite of its build. The most basic spec offered for the Auris is the ‘Active’ trim and is equipped with air conditioning, LED daytime lights and electrically operated door mirrors. The Icon, Business and Design trims add features such as sat nav, cruise control, bluetooth and more.

Safety & Economy

The Auris includes front, side and curtain airbags, as well as stability control.

Perfect for Young Professionals, Couples and Fleets The Auris’s combination of fuel economy and space make it an easy choice for a cheap company car, as well as being well suited to young drivers.
