New Nissan Note

New Nissan Note

Description

New Nissan Note

The Note supermini offers plenty of technology, with a practical layout and enough space to house plenty of passenger and luggage. Efficient engines help to keep costs low.

Appearance

The bodywork of the new Nissan Note is striking. Concave and convex surfaces are brought together in a harmonious design that is contemporary and stylish. New headlights adorn the front and add more elegance, complementing the sculpted sides perfectly. The cabin is well-built and features a gloss black console and a circular climate control panel that adds a more creative and stylish touch to the interior. Passengers can enjoy generous space at the rear, whilst the various storage cubbies add more practicality to the design.

Performance

You can choose from three engines, two petrol and one diesel. At the lower end of the range, the 79bhp 1.2-litre petrol doesn't offer a thrilling driving experience but it returns an excellent 60.1 mpg and emits only 109g/km of CO2. The more powerful 97bhp 1.2-litre DIG-S supercharged petrol reaches 0-62mph in 11.7 seconds, whilst the 89bhp diesel is not far behind with 11.9 seconds. The ride quality and body control are both good, and the steering is accurate and responsive. Dampers provide more comfort whilst stability and traction control come as standard features. At higher speeds on the motorway, the Note maintains a good level of stability and assurance. Standard equipment is generous across all models, with the entry-level Visia receiving a CD player with USB connectivity, daytime running lights, cruise control and electric front windows. Acenta and Acenta Premium add air-conditioning, sat nav, climate control and privacy glass, whilst the Tekna model comes with a leather steering wheel, part-leather seats, 6 speakers, 16-inch alloys, keyless start and the Safety Shield kit. Optional packs are extensive as well.

Safety & Economy

The diesel engine is the one to go for if you want to reduce running costs, as it will return around 70mpg (the official figure is 78mpg), and will emit under 100g/km of CO2. In terms of safety features, the Note comes with six airbags, electronic stability control, ABS and ISOFIX child-seat mounting points as standard, with extras also available.

Conclusion

Perfect for Small Families Compact but stylish, the new Nissan Note will suit drivers who prefer a more eye-catching family vehicle. The comfortable cabin and the low running costs combine with efficient engines, making the car a good choice for urban driving.
