New Nissan Juke

New Nissan Juke

This crossover SUV is packed with a generous amount of standard equipment, making journeys easy to bear. Fuel consumption is light on the pockets, whilst the unique styling is refreshing.

Distinctive and modern, the new Nissan Juke has a powerful presence on the road. The car doesn't look like anything else on the market, so it will appeal to those looking for a more unique vehicle. Designed as a crossover, the Juke combines various elements in its exterior design, from SUV elements to coupé details and contemporary accents. Boomerang-shaped rear lights, sharp angles, convex surfaces and narrow headlights placed high all stand out. The interior is just as unique, with dials and controls on the console reminiscent of a motorcycle. Comfortable seats and plenty of space complete the design.

There are both petrol engines and one diesel to choose from, all providing plenty of power. At the lower end of the scale, the 109bhp 1.5 litre turbo diesel can reach 0-62mph in 11.2 seconds, whilst the entry-level petrol engine with 116bhp is only marginally faster at 11.0 seconds. The more powerful 187bhp can complete the same feat in just 8.0 seconds. Fast and responsive steering along with a good amount of grip make the Juke good to drive on various types of roads, although it will suit city streets and motorways best. Its agility is also a welcome surprise for a car of this size. Four trims and a few special edition models are available in the UK. The entry-level Visia model is equipped with 16-inch alloys, driver's seat height adjustment, CD stereo with MP3 connector, four electric windows and remote central locking. The Acenta adds premium seat fabric in grey or red, touchscreen sat nav and Bluetooth amongst others, whilst at the top-of-the-range, the Tekna trim comes with a more luxurious interior that includes leather seats, heated front seats and keyless entry and ignition. Other accessories are also available.

Safety & Economy

In terms of fuel economy, the recently-upgraded 1.5-litre diesel has an official figure of 67mpg and now emits just 109g/km of CO2, much lower than the previous 129g/km. A five-star Euro NCAP rating and plenty of standard safety equipment bring more peace of mind. All Juke models come with brake assist, ISOFIX child-seat mounting points, stability control, six airbags and anti-whiplash headrests.

Perfect for Families Quirky and spacious, designed with a generous number of standard features and now available with a more fuel-efficient engine, the new Juke will suit drivers looking for a family vehicle that looks distinctive and modern.
