RAC to reveal latest roadside innovations at the Commercial Vehicle Show
Find out more about the latest RAC patrol capabilities, innovations in EV charging, vehicle recovery and connected solutions.
The RAC is inviting visitors to the Commercial Vehicle Show to find out at first hand what the latest patrol is armed with to help motorists battle breakdowns and get stranded vehicles on the move again.
With more than 120 years’ experience in roadside services, RAC patrols carry more tools and equipment than ever, and we will be demonstrating the latest roadside innovations including our mobile EV charging unit and connected services at the show.
The EV chargers are just being rolled out to areas of high demand and have been designed to deliver enough power to give a ten-mile boost to stricken electric vehicles. It’s the equivalent of a fuel tank top up for petrol and diesel vehicles and is believed to be the first mobile charging unit of its kind on a UK breakdown vehicle.
Visitors will be able to see how our ‘all-wheels-up’ recovery equipment is enabling roadside patrols to recover a greater range and volume of vehicles, without having to call for specialist flat-bed trucks. The award-wining innovation is being rolled out across the entire 1,600-strong fleet.
In addition to roadside services, the RAC will also be talking about our connected solutions, harnessing the power of vehicle data, telematics and dash cam technology. Not only does it provide fleet managers with greater insight and control over their assets, but also delivers a proactive breakdown service too.
By using the latest vehicle diagnostics tools and drawing on more than 120 years of roadside experience, the RAC has been able to develop services which help fleets identify potential breakdowns before they take place. This is key for reducing vehicle downtime and avoiding unscheduled servicing, maintenance or repairs.
We’re looking forward to being at this year’s show where we expect a lot of the talk on floor to be about the future, particularly developments in connected solutions and EVs.
So, come and grab a complimentary coffee on our stand and talk to our team to find out more. We’re in Hall 5, stand 5A45, NEC, Birmingham.
