Our answers
Single Trip or Annual Multi-trip travel option?
If you are likely to be going on more than one trip a year, you may well find that by taking our Annual insurance to protect your travel needs, it will work out more cost effective than taking a separate insurance each time you travel.
What confirmation of cover do I have?
When you purchase our travel insurance we will provide you with an insurance reference number which confirms your cover. We will also send you written confirmation of your insurance details and an insurance booklet.
Can I travel without my documents?
Yes, an insurance reference number is all that is required for proof of insurance when travelling; however, we recommend you take the helpline numbers with you when you travel. This will be provided with your insurance documentation.
My age will change during the insurance duration, will this affect my cover?
Your age will be calculated from the date of taking the insurance, regardless of it changing during the period of cover.
When does my cover start?
Single Trip travel insurance - Cancellation cover will start from the date we issue the insurance, the rest of your cover will start on your intended departure date.
Annual Multi-trip travel insurance - Cancellation cover under this insurance begins from the start date of the insurance or the date of booking each holiday, whichever is later.
Am I covered for a winter sports trip?
Single trip travel Insurance - winter sports holidays can be covered throughout the duration of your trip for an additional premium.
Annual Multi-trip travel insurance - winter sports holidays can be covered up to a total of 21 days within the period of insurance for an additional premium.
Does the insurance cover business travel?
Business Travel cover is an option available on both our Single Trip and Annual Multi-trip insurance (up to a maximum of 5 trips per year) so long as the trip involves clerical and administrative tasks.
