What is an RAC Inspected dealer?

A growing number of dealers have signed up to the RAC Inspected vehicle programme, and the number’s growing all the time. To become an RAC Inspected dealer, a dealership must commit to having every vehicle sold thoroughly checked by an independent RAC engineer.*

Buying with confidence and trust

  • All cars have undergone a vehicle history and mileage check with the original vehicle data experts, HPI. This means that cars offered for sale will not be stolen, written-off or clocked.

  • When you buy the car, request a copy of the RAC engineer’s report. This is your proof that the car has been independently checked by one of our qualified and experienced RAC engineers.

* Exceptions apply for certain type of vehicles – check with the individual dealer concerned.
** On some occasions a vehicle may be awaiting an inspection from an RAC engineer.
