Safer use of your mobile phone

In 2004 RAC were successful in winning European Commission funding for a 3-year research and development programme named MYCAREVENT (MobilitY and CollAboRative work in European Vehicle Emergency NeTworks).

The manufacturers' objective of the programme is the provision of manufacturers' web-based vehicle repair information to the end user who may be the driver, the roadside patrol or the workshop technician. The other 19 members of the successful consortium include European motor manufacturers, a Spanish roadside service club (RACC) plus industrial and academic partners.
