Does RAC’s personal injury claims service only deal with injuries arising from motor accidents?
No. While we are obviously used to dealing with motoring claims because of our background we also have expertise in dealing with many other kinds of personal injury claim including accidents at work, and those that happen whilst out and about in public places. Our broad experience takes in most kinds of injury claim, almost anything from defective products and poor repair work to dog bites. If in any doubt as to whether we are able to deal with a claim call us and speak to a qualified legal advisor. This call and advice will be completely free; alternatively, please complete the form online.
Do you only deal with accidents that happen in the UK?
No. We are able to deal with those that happen abroad if an injury has arisen. So if your claim is concerned with an accident occurring on holiday or during a trip abroad we may well be able to help. Again it is not just injuries arising from road traffic accidents that we are able to deal with. Slips and trips in hotels and airports are just a couple of examples of the types of claims we can also pursue.
I have been involved in an accident. I have been injured but I am not sure who was at fault. What can I do?
The first thing you should do is contact us. RAC’s experienced lawyers will evaluate your injury and the circumstances of your accident, and give you clear and straightforward advice on whether they believe you could claim. If you can, we will offer you the help of one of our lawyers to claim compensation on your behalf, all at no cost to you of course.
If I have an injury claim surely RAC’s personal injury claims service will charge me as the case progresses and/or take something out of any damages recovered?
Definitely not. We do not make any charge to you, win or lose. If you are successful all of our costs are claimed from the other side. You keep 100% of any compensation recovered. If you lose, we foot the bill.
Who will deal with my claim?
RAC’s personal injury claims service is staffed by a substantial number of solicitors and paralegals who have expertise in dealing with personal injury claims. Your claim will be fully overseen throughout by an experienced, qualified personal injury solicitor.
How much will my claim be worth?
This depends on many factors and is totally individual to you and your claim, and no two cases are ever the same. You will be advised further once all the necessary information has been gathered by the lawyer assisting you and an assessment can be made. Whatever happens, you can rest assured that we will fight to recover your rightful compensation.
How long will the claim take to be dealt with?
Even in general terms it is very difficult to say at this stage but your lawyer will provide more information when the case has been assessed and things like the liability of the other party are established. Much too will depend on what the medical evidence has to say about the injury, how complicated it is, and when it is considered appropriate for the claim to be settled. However, you can depend on us bringing your claim to the right conclusion as promptly as possible.
The insurers on the other side have contacted me, liability is not in issue and they have offered to repair my car and provide a courtesy vehicle. Shall I accept?
Please contact us immediately. We can organise everything the other person’s insurers can, and you can rest assured that our advice and help will be designed to ensure the best outcome for you. It may be that the right outcome for you is to use the facilities offered by the insurance company, but you can get an independent view from us about this.
