Battery Response
All our members benefit from Battery Response as part of their membership. This means that should your battery fail we can fit a new battery for you. All you have to pay for is the battery; labour and fitting costs are included in your membership.
Every patrol carries a range of high specification batteries which cover most cars on the road. Plus, if our Patrol doesn't have the battery you need on the van, we'll source it for you from one of our suppliers across the UK to make sure we get your vehicle moving again as quickly as possible.
We attend around 500,000 battery-related call-outs and fit over 100,000 batteries per year. When we fit a new battery for you, this is what we do:

With our expertise and using the latest technology we'll check that you definitely need a new battery, so can be sure it's not just flat or that something else is wrong.

If you need a new battery, we can supply you with a quality battery so you avoid the inconvenience of making arrangements to get one yourself and can be sure you have a quality replacement.

Only batteries bought from us come with RAC's mobile replacement guarantee, which lasts at least three years - so if any battery we've fitted is faulty while it's covered by our guarantee, we'll repair/replace it at the roadside.

We'll even take away your old battery for you and recycle it.

Guaranteed Parts
We fit over 90,000 parts per year. The most common of which are ignition coils, alternators and fan belts.
If you need a replacement part to get you going again and we can fit it for you at the roadside, we'll do so. All labour and fittings costs are included in your membership, so you only pay for the part itself.

RAC patrols also carry a full range of quality engine oil, power steering fluid and anti-freeze to ensure you are able to continue your journey as quickly as possible.
