Sponsorship

Following the success of the 2010 RAC Future Car Challenge we are delighted to announce that RAC will be title sponsors for the second consecutive year.
This announcement was made today at the Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall, London.
Adrian Tink, RAC Motoring Strategist, says "We're delighted to be title sponsors of the event again this year. Anyone involved in last years event will have seen the enthusiasm and overwhelming interest from the public in the next generation of cars. With record fuel prices seemingly here for the long run the future of motoring, and particularly the need to reduce our reliance on fossil-based fuels, is even more important than it was 12 months ago - events like this help bring that future to life."
This year's event will take place on Saturday, 5 November the day before the historic London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.
Last year's event attracted more than 60 entries, from motor manufacturers to private enthusiasts and saw a number of futuristic pre-production cars make their debut. The overall winner was the Volkswagen Golf blue-e motion electric car.
A fanfare finish
Once again Regent Street will be closed off and, 250,000 spectators are once again expected to see up to 90 of the latest hybrid, hydrogen and low-emission vehicles cross the finish line.
This year's event is expected to be bigger & better with entertainment, presentations and celebrity appearances promising to give the event a fantastic atmosphere all free of charge.
We'll keep you updated with more news throughout the year.
