The latest offering from Ford, the compact multi-activity B-MAX, will be showcased at next month's Geneva Motor Show.
Returning to where the original concept was first revealed, the production-ready vehicle has a sleek design with numerous technological features.
The B-MAX needed a new way for door production to be carried out, resulting in wider doors which have the central pillars built in, giving passengers more space to access the vehicle.
Two engines are available for the new B-MAX, the 1.0-litre petrol EcoBoost which has 125PS power and 58.9mpg efficiency, and the diesel Duratorq TDci.
Stephen Odell, chairman and CEO of Ford of Europe, said that the B-MAX had features often only found in larger vehicles, which was a result of customers wanting much more from small cars.
Alan Mulally, CEO and president of Ford, will unveil the prototype, with models on sale in the UK from September.
