Yamaha's motorcycle for novice bikers has topped the sales chart in 2010.
Up to now the Japanese firm's learner-legal model, YBR125, is the best-selling bike, followed by its sports model YZF-R125.
In addition, Yamaha XC125 has emerged as the top-selling scooter.
But German manufacturer BMW dominated the larger-capacity bike sales, with its new S1000RR emerging as the top-seller between 651cc-1000cc and the adventure-sports R1200GS as best-seller over 1,000cc.
However, overall bike sales have fallen 16% in a tough year for motorcycle industry, compared with last year.
The supersports market saw the biggest annual fall, with 28% drop in sales.
