A Welsh Assembly government minister and his official driver have been involved in a car accident.
Social Justice and Local Government Minister Carl Sargeant and his driver were taken to hospital after the accident in Corris, near Machynlleth, Powys.
However, neither of the pair was injured and they have now been discharged, according to an Assembly spokesman. The car was on its way to an engagement in Deeside when it was in collision with another vehicle.
The spokesman said he could not reveal any further information about the incident.
In a statement, he added: "A government car carrying the Social Justice and Local Government Minister Carl Sargeant and his driver was involved in a collision with another vehicle earlier today near Corris, near Machynlleth. The minister was on his way to an engagement in Deeside. The minister and his driver were not seriously injured, however, they did receive some medical attention as a precaution."
